Misty is a partner at Kentucky ElderLaw, PLLC, and focuses her practice on elder law and estate planning. As the daughter of Methodist minister, Misty spent time growing up with elderly individuals and those in nursing facilities. Now, as the mother of two young children and helping her aging parents, she understands the demands of being in the sandwich generation and is passionate about helping adult children and their parents create effective plans as they age.
Prior to joining Kentucky ElderLaw, PLLC, Misty spent ten years as an assistant public defender, first in the general trial division and then in the capital division. Misty is a past chair of the Elder Law Section of the Kentucky Bar Association. She earned her B.A. degree, summa cum laude, from Murray State University; her J.D. degree from the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville; and her LLM in Elder Law from Stetson University with High Honors.
