Megan Schweri

Biography
Megan Schweri is a local Louisvillian and seasoned social worker who has worked exclusively with the senior population.

Megan obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from the University of Kentucky in 2003. Megan worked for a locally owned senior community for more than 17 years prior to joining the Ky ElderLaw team, bringing years of experience working directly with seniors and their families with her.

Megan serves on an Advisory Board for healthcare organizations that serve seniors in our community and actively supports and participates in non-profit organizations and groups such as the Alzheimer’s Association and the Stroke Association. She is passionate about promoting health and wellness for seniors in our community.

Lori Friestrom – Elder Care Coordinator

Biography

Lori Friestrom is an Elder Care Coordinator at Kentucky ElderLaw, as well as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed

Clinical Addictions Counselor. Lori’s career spans hospitals, nursing homes, intensive outpatient addictions programs, hospice care, and private counseling practice with over 25 years of experience in healthcare settings.
Lori is an avid Michigan State Spartans alumni and fan who enjoys college basketball and football.
In her personal life, she cares for her 5-pound Chihuahua, Lucy, and maintains her saltwater fish tank hobby. Lori loves traveling in the Caribbean and finds peace and joy at the beach. She is passionate about empowering others and committed to helping them live their best lives.

Caity Bright – Elder Care Coordinator

Biography

Caity Bright currently services as Elder Care Coordinator born and raised in Bardstown, KY. With over 11 years of dedication to the elder community, Caity’s career began as an Occupational Therapist working with the geriatric population. Throughout her career, she has specialized in rehabilitation, environmental modification, Rehab Director, and guiding individuals through the continuum of care, ensuring they receive the support they need in their later years.

Caity is deeply involved in her local community, serving on the Advisory Board for healthcare organizations focused on senior care. She is also an active supporter and participant in various non-profit organizations dedicated to enhancing the lives of seniors.

Education

Caity holds a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Spalding University, which has equipped her with the knowledge and skills to positively impact the lives of the elderly. Her passion for advocating for and empowering older adults continues to drive her work in the field of elder care.
