Our family would like to thank you for your kindness, advice and service for our mother MF.  She passed away peacefully in April.  Your preparation of her Will, Power of Attorney, Health Care Surrogate papers and advice on Medicaid helped immensely.  The services your firm provides offers families like ours a much easier transition in settling her estate.  Much continued success and good health to all of you.  Sincerely, LAC

I spent 90 free minutes with Kentucky ElderLaw on a conference call while they advised my 81 year old mother who resides in Louisville regarding Medicaid eligibility and estate planning. I am in my 50’s. I was completely impressed by the amount of free information we received, in fact, so much so that I feel I will be much better prepared for my own elder care and financial considerations based on her impressive savvy. At the end of the 90 minutes, Kentucky ElderLaw recommended a path that would not include them, hence they gave and we received for absolutely nothing beyond our time invested. They are a wealth of information and very generous about giving it.

With the hope of finding the best Louisville elder law firm, I spent several hours doing online and phone research a couple months ago, and the name that kept coming up was Kentucky ElderLaw. My two siblings, mother and uncle, who is an attorney, met with Kentucky ElderLaw for a free ninety-minute consultation. We discussed several issues: Medicaid eligibility, estate planning and advance directives. Our family was extremely impressed with the breadth of Kentucky ElderLaw’s legal knowledge-base, but we were most moved by something less tangible yet just as important to us- their unquestionable sincerity and passion to help. As professionals, my siblings and I couldn’t be more pleased with our choice to have sought the legal counsel and spiritual/emotional support offered by Kentucky ElderLaw.

Dear Ms. Vantrease,
Thank you very much for speaking with me this morning regarding our questions concerning KY Medicaid eligibility.  My sister and I very much appreciate your willingness to speak with me so quickly and address our main issue at this time.
Although we are probably 1-3 years away from a KY Medicaid application on behalf of our father, we will definitely contact you when the time comes.
In the meanwhile, thank you again for your assistance.
Sincerely,
HC

Today R and I made the first payment toward buying the rest of my/our condo. The money has been deposited in my checking and on Friday I will be able to write the check to pay our property taxes and most of the rest or my debts, as well as being thinking about a few purchases, like a replacement filter for the furnace.
Thanks you so very much for the help you gave R and me in getting this sale down on paper. The relief I fell is absolutely amazing.
Blessing for all you have done.

Just a note to express my thanks and appreciation for your help and guidance as I dealt with matters concerning my father. Inheriting all financial and personal matters for my father was overwhelming until you guided me with your advice and support. I will be forever grateful for your caring attitude and genuine interest especially at times when I felt so desperate and helpless. You are a true friend and a wonderful representative of your profession. It’s hard to find someone you can always count on, yet you were always there for me and for that I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I wish you much success in the future.
Thank you so much,

We want you to know how much we appreciate your diligence and professionalism in guiding us through the Medicaid maze. We would have been unable to have done this on our own.
We are a little grayer and our blood pressures are a little higher, but the stress is a little less thanks to your efforts.
Gratefully,
E and DY

I wanted to send a note of thanks to you and your office for helping our family as we tried to manage my dad’s health and legal needs. We will miss him terribly. The funeral and associated services were very well done this past week and now we can focus on the positive memories.
I will be happy to recommend your offices to anyone in need of legal advice associated with again and the elderly. I hope you have a healthy and prosperous year.

I just don’t know how I can ever thank you enough. I’m sorry for freaking out at times, you were always there to calm me down and assure me and I am so thankful God put you in my life. I hope you have continued success. People need to know that you are out there, professionally helping those who can’t help themselves and helping people like me who was thrown in the midst of legal/personal affairs of my parent. I will always pass your names along as I attend church with a lot of older people who I am very close with, and even friends who find themselves making decisions for their elderly parents. You are wonderful and caring.

Once again, I want to sincerely thank you for all the help you provided in the process of having my mother, M. E. P., approved for Medicaid.

Thanks to your encouragement, I decided to go it alone when it was time for the recertification process. I am happy to tell you that the meeting went well and mother has been approced to receive Medicaid for another year.

I hope you will not forget me. There may come a time in the future when I’ll need you assistance again.

Until then, I wish you both the best, every day in every way.

God Bless You,
B. H.

I want to express my gratitude for not only the work you did for Mom and me, but for your exceptional courtesy, patience, and clarity of explanations. I think about you often since you helped me with my Mother (M. H.) a souple of summers ago. I was able to make some sane and responsible choices when I felt I had few options. My mother continues to decline and remains at Easten Star Home, but today I can look back without regret. You were instrumental in preventing a bad situation from becoming worse.

Thank you.

Sincerely,
B. M.

You can absolutely use anything I have said about your help and advice and how thankful I am to have you in my life. You have calmed me during such panic attacks because all of these matters with my father were dumped in my lap and so many people have attacked me in different ways, but with you… I stand strong. Thank you so much, Wanda

You know Kentucky ElderLaw, I have always trusted you and knew you would help me and I am eternally grateful. You are such a wonderful asset to the legal community. With much love and admiration, Wanda

I am so blessed that God put you in my life… honestly these matters with my father have been so uncalled for and stressful, but you always have the answer and I so appreciate you, always know that.

Thank you for the kindness and thoughtfulness that you showed to J.H. when you visited her at the Atria. Kentucky ElderLaw, I know that you all are trained to think of others– but to me it reflected a considerate upbringing.

It’s as I said– Thank you,
G.H.R.

Since my appointment, Tuesday the 10th, with you both, I am starting to get some faith in the system again and also in the fact there are still people who care for other people that have hit a tough time and didn’t understand.

You both made me feel very comfortable and explained things to me where I could understand.

Thank you so much!! God bless you both. (I mean that) (Without Him… what would we do?)
J.H.

I wish I had the eloquence to express what is in my heart, but words fail me.

Simply put, I want to thank you sincerely for your patience, encouragement, and understanding during the Medicaid application process for my mother. You have been unfailingly kind when I am sure there were times you were frustrated by all my questions and anxiety. The funds you were able to preserve will assure that I will be able to care for all mother’s needs for the rest of her life as well as assuring a “nest egg” for me in what is now an uncertain future. I am humbly grateful. God bless you.

With deepest gratitude and love,
B.H.

Kathi and I saw J. tonight and she told us what a great job Kentucky ElderLaw are doing helping her deal with F. We sent her to you because we knew that would be the case. We are very grateful for your good work, as we are very fond of J. and know what a burden F. had become.

BTW, I don’t know if I ever told you this, but every time we get to Medicaid Qualifying Trusts and the general area of Medicaid planning in Decedents’ Estates, I tell the students to write down 2 words: Kentucky ElderLaw. That’s all they need to know. I consider you the leading Medicaid expert in town.

Keep up the good work. You make me proud to have been your professor. I wish there were more like you out there.

Sincerely,
Jim Jones
