Kentucky ElderLaw is proud to announce that partner Misty Clark Vantrease has earned her LL.M in elder law from Stetson University with High Honors.
High Honors means Ms. Vantrease graduated with a 3.5 or higher grade-point average. In fact, she made an A in every class. This is especially impressive given that she maintained her full practice at the firm for the two years required to complete the degree.
The LL.M is a master of laws degree. Available in a variety of subjects, it provides attorneys advanced training in a particular area of the law. To earn the degree, Ms. Vantrease had to complete 25 credit hours and nine classes exploring elder law topics in detail. Courses included Aging and the Law, Retirement Planning, and Long-term Care Planning.
“With my LL.M coursework,” Ms. Vantrease stated, “I have an even deeper understanding of the many means available to help those we serve, including veterans, persons with disabilities, and seniors needing long-term care. It has been great not only to grow in knowledge myself, but also to pass that along to others at the firm, so that we all continue to fill our toolboxes.”
Kentucky ElderLaw congratulates Misty Clark Vantrease on achieving this substantial professional milestone.
